NATIONAL POETRY MONTH #11

Anchorwoman

Scott ____

Hey, did you know our ancestors

Hunted and gathered together?

Her last name looks pre-Celtic

Maybe they did.

She reads a teleprompter

At the thirty-sixth floor of that skyscraper

I’ve never seen.

I watch the television

On the only floor of this house

She’s never seen.

We connect sometime.
