THE ELUSIVE BARBARA ENGLISH

Once in a while I meet a beautiful dame on an episode of The Twilight Zone, of whom there are almost no images on the Internet.  Such is the case with Barbara English.  She appears in one of the most thought-provoking episodes of the entire series, A Nice Place to Visit.  I first heard the plot of this episode in chapel at Mobile Christian School.  This is the Church-of-Christ school I attended for nine years.  We had chapel every morning, just as we had Bible class every day.  And one day, Mr. Luster, a rather intimidating principal, told us the story during chapel (he didn’t mention where it came from, maybe he didn’t even know).

A Nice Place to Visit asks the viewer this question:  What would you do if you had absolutely no problems, and everything went your way, all the time?

You can see this episode online here: http://www.tubeplus.me/movie/1485560/The_Twilight_Zone/season_1/episode_28/A_Nice_Place_to_visit/%22

And though this post isn’t specifically about Barbara English, I like the sound of her name in the title.  If you watch the video, you see her in action, and you see a good fable, as well–one to rival those of Aesop.
