Another question from Gregory Stock’s book is this:

If late one night you left a door at work unlocked and someone vandalized the place, would you admit your carelessness?  Assume no one knows you were there.

Yes.

Because it might help in identifying, capturing, and prosecuting the vandal(s).

Then I would offer to resign.

I despise vandals, even more than thieves.

Vandals have nothing to gain–their actions are not only evil, but illogical.
