FROM THE BOQ: BUSINESS, POLITICS AND ETHICS #141

Another question from Gregory Stock’s book is this:

Would you prefer a President who had previously been a skillful and savvy politician, a brilliant science administrator, a writer of unbending moral integrity, or a highly respected military officer?

I would prefer a President who had previously been a highly respected military officer.

Why?

Because he would be a veteran, and would most likely have actually experienced war.

And a president who has actually experienced war is less likely to wage war, unless it is absolutely necessary.  And even then, he is more likely to wage it wisely.
