AN AESOP’S FABLE FOR EVERYONE IN THE WORLD

The Boy Bathing

A Boy was bathing in a river and got out of his depth, and was in great danger of being drowned.  A man who was passing along a road hard by heard his cries for help, and went to the riverside and began to scold him for being so careless as to get into deep water, but made no attempt to help him.  “Oh, sir,” cried the Boy, “please help me first and scold me afterwards.”

Give assistance, not advice, in a crisis.

Aesop

As translated by V.S. Vernon Jones

EGO AND SELF

“Like two golden birds perched on the selfsame tree, intimate friends, the ego and the Self dwell in the same body.  The former eats the sweet and sour fruits of the tree of life, while the latter looks on in detachment.”

Selection from the Mundaka Upanishad, as quoted by Deepak Chopra

SO MUCH BETTER TO PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH

I used to see bumper stickers that read:

HANG UP AND DRIVE

I don’t see these anymore.

The back of my truck is covered with them–stickers that read HANG UP AND DRIVE and PUT IT DOWN, IT CAN WAIT.

But I don’t see HANG UP AND DRIVE stickers on any other vehicles anymore–ever.

Why?

Because the drivers who used to post this message on their vehicles are now doing the very thing they insisted that other drivers not do–they are using mobile devices (cellphones, iphones, and smartphones) while driving.

And to their credit, these drivers don’t want to be hypocritical.

And I used to see bumper stickers and T-shirts that read:

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

or

WWJD

I don’t see these anymore.

Why?

Because the Christians who used to post this message on their vehicles, and wear this message on their T-shirts, are not doing the very thing they insisted that other Christians do–they are not following Jesus, they are not doing what Jesus would do.

And to their credit, these Christians don’t want to be hypocritical.

It is good not to be hypocritical–it is good not to preach something you don’t practice.

But it is so much better to practice what you preach.

Wouldn’t it be so much better if drivers who posted HANG UP AND DRIVE bumper stickers hung up and drove themselves?

And wouldn’t it be so much better if Christians posting WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? bumper stickers, and wearing WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? T-shirts followed Jesus themselves–did what Jesus would do?

It is easier to match your words with your actions than to match your actions with your words.

But it is so much better to match your actions with your words than to simply match your words with your actions.

It is good not to preach something you don’t practice.

But it is so much much better to practice what you preach.

PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE

Most of the Nazi war criminals have been executed by the Israeli government, or have died of natural causes.

But none of the Israeli war criminals have been executed–and the few who have died of natural causes are greatly outnumbered by those who have not.  Because–though the Nazi regime was defeated in 1945–the Israeli (Zionist) regime will never be defeated unless the American people use their constitutional rights to stop their government’s support of it.

More than any other people on earth, the American people are personally responsible for the actions of their government–at the federal, state, and local levels.

STATE OF A UNION ENDANGERED BY ITSELF

[This was originally posted January 25, 2015]

I didn’t listen to Obama’s State of the Union Address–words mean nothing from a politician.  I did see, however that the now-Republican-majority Congress invited Netanyahu to address it, without consulting the President first.  I helped vote-in this now-Republican-majority.  Because the Democratic Party was getting dangerously out of control.  Yet look at the stunts this now-Republican-majority Congress is already pulling.  It wants to allow Canada to use the United States simply as a thoroughfare for an oil pipeline that would go straight to the Gulf of Mexico–so that the oil could be shipped directly to Communist China.  This is not in America’s interest–and I hope Obama vetoes this proposed bill, as he promises to do.  On the other hand, Obama proposes a tax break for the middle class, and a tax hike for the ultra-rich–a proposal that would definitely be in America’s interest.  Of course the Republican Congress opposes this–so it probably won’t be enacted.  And, as indicated, the Republican Congress is already courting the Zionist Nazi Netanyahu–obviously to gain favor of Zionist Christians in the United States (the so-called Religious Right).  Then on the other hand again, Alabama, my home state, is the latest casualty in the Federal Government’s war on the states–the latest state to have a federal judge strike down its residents-voted-in affirmation of marriage as being a union between members of opposite sexes only.  This is definitely the Democrats’ doing–almost certainly coming from the Obama Administration.

I have already begun, as best I can, to emphasize to my fellow Americans, the urgent need for an independent President of the United States–not a Republican, not a Democrat, not even a member of a third party–an independent President (no party affiliation whatsoever).  Only an independent President can temper this extremism in different directions by both the Republican and Democratic Parties–two sides of the same diabolical coin.  And I have been told this will never happen–that Americans will never stop choosing between two diabolical political parties, and start thinking outside the box.

And it won’t happen, as long as Americans continue to think it will never happen–and vote either Republican or Democrat, simply out of fear.  If we keep thinking an independent can’t win, an independent can’t win.  Because we will continue to vote according to this defeatist thinking.  But if we start realizing an independent can win if enough of us vote for him (or her), an independent will win.  If enough Americans would have voted for Ross Perot in 1992, he would have become our nation’s second independent President (Washington was the first).

The Republican Party couldn’t care less about the Unites States–the Republican Party only cares about itself.  The Democratic Party couldn’t care less about the United States–the Democratic Party only cares about itself.

ISIS claims to care about Islam.  It doesn’t–it only cares about itself.  Al-Qaida claims to care about Islam.  It doesn’t–it only cares about itself.  Boko Haram claims to care about Islam.  It doesn’t–it only cares about itself.  We all know these three entities are totally self-serving.

But when are we going to realize that the two political parties that control our government are essentially no different from the above terrorist groups?  No, the Republican Party is not a terrorist group–but it is totally self-serving.  And no, the Democratic Party is not a terrorist group–but it is totally self-serving.  What is the difference, in the end?

Both the Republican and Democratic Parties have taken our government away from us.  And the only way we can begin to take it back is to elect an independent President in 2016.

BECAUSE WE ALLOW OURSELVES TO BE

Like every mass shooting before it, this deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history feeds the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, and especially the press.

These diabolical agencies thrive on human tragedy.

And we are nothing but pawns to them.

Of course the diabolical Republican Party maintains that anyone and everyone should have access to any kind of firearm.  And the diabolical Democratic Party maintains that no one should have access to any kind of firearm–except agents of the federal, state, and local governments of course.

And the diabolical press provides the circuses for our viewing pleasure–but keeps the bread for itself.

These mass shootings feed the political agendas of the Republican and Democratic Parties–and the pocketbooks of the press.

And this is why nothing will be done by the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or the press, to stop these mass shootings.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

When the United States was established, there were no law-enforcement officers yet.  There was also no large, well-established military force for this new nation yet.  Communities had to police themselves. Communities also had to keep foreigners from taking land that was not theirs–and keep Native Americans from taking back land that was theirs.

The militias were armed groups of free men who were responsible for the security of their communities.  But these militias had to be regulated–and so did gun ownership.

At first, these militias operated at the local (community) level–eventually they operated at the state level.

This is why gun ownership has always been regulated–but regulated by the states.

It is not the federal government’s responsibility or right to regulate gun ownership in the United States–it is the states’ responsibility and right.

But when the states are negligent with this responsibility, and irresponsible with this right, the federal government has to intervene.

It was the State of South Carolina’s responsibility to keep guns out of the hands of those who would abuse our right to keep and bear arms–and the State of South Carolina did nothing but blame the Confederate Flag.

It was the State of California’s responsibility to keep guns out the hands of those who would abuse our right to keep and bear arms–and the State of California did nothing but blame Islam.

And it is the State of Florida’s responsibility to keep guns out of the hands of those who would abuse our right to keep and bear arms–and the State of Florida will probably do nothing but blame Islam.

And just as South Carolinians and Californians have failed to hold their state governments responsible for gun regulation (yet gotten hysterical as hell when the federal government intervened), Floridians too will likely fail to hold their state government responsible for gun regulation (yet get hysterical as hell when the federal government intervenes).

All the while, South Carolinians, Californians, and Floridians–along with the residents of every other state in this nation–gladly allow their state and local governments to censor Confederate Flags, and discriminate against Muslims.

And this is why these mass shootings will likely never stop–because the American people of today are so averse to taking personal responsibility for their own country.

We are nothing but pawns to the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, and the press–because we allow ourselves to be.

THE LARGE COMMUNITY OF MEN

“Most of the language in this book speaks to heterosexual men but does not exclude homosexual men.  It wasn’t until the eighteenth century that people ever used the term homosexual; before that time gay men were understood simply as a part of the large community of men.  The mythology as I see it does not make a big distinction between homosexual and heterosexual men.”

From the Preface of Iron John: A Book About Men, by Robert Bly

It was a mistake to set homosexuals and lesbians apart from heterosexuals.

And it is an even greater mistake to set homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals, and transsexuals (or transgendered individuals) apart from heterosexuals–and into a category called LGBT.

The heterosexuals who set these groups of people apart–into a separate group of groups that have nothing in common with one another–marginalize the people in these groups.

In an effort to encourage (or appear to encourage) inclusion, the politically-correct establishment encourages exclusion.

The politicians and the press do not even define this deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history as an attack on the gay community.  They define it as an attack on the LGBT community.

In this way, it is easier for the majority of Americans to remove themselves from the victims.

No.  This deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history was not an attack on the LGBT community–or even the gay community.

It was an attack on the American community–and the large community of men.

GOOD WARS

The War on Poverty was never won before the War on Crime was begun.

The War on Crime was never won before the War on Drugs was begun.

The War on Drugs was never won before the War on Terror (mostly in our collective imagination) was begun.

The War on Terror (mostly in our collective imagination) was never won before the War on Obesity was begun.

The War on Obesity was never won before the War on Climate Change was begun.

So there’s more poverty than ever before, more crime than ever before, more drug addiction than ever before, more terror (mostly in our collective imagination) than ever before, more obesity than ever before, and of course more climate change than we can comprehend.

Why don’t we abandon these wars we cannot win, and start wars we can?

Let’s start a war on ignorance.

Let’s start a war on apathy.

Let’s start a war on complacency.

We can win a war on ignorance.

We can win a war on apathy.

And we can win a war on complacency.

And once we win the War on Ignorance, the War on Apathy, and the War on Complacency–we’ll probably have a lot less poverty, a lot less crime, a lot less drug addiction, a lot less terror (real or imagined), a lot less obesity, and a lot more ammunition to endure this inevitable climate change.

IF YOU VOTED FOR DONALD TRUMP

If you voted for Donald Trump in a Republican primary, you had better pray that Bernie Sanders somehow gets the Democratic presidential nomination away from Hillary Clinton!  And if he does, you had better hope that the Zionist Jews don’t control our Electoral College!
