FREEDOM OF SPEECH WORKS ALL WAYS

Pro-censorship activists are now demanding that this cross be removed from city property in Greater Pensacola, Florida.  The Bayview Park Cross is now a big issue.

On June 24, 2015, Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward removed the First Confederate Flag from all Five-Flags Displays in Greater Pensacola, Florida.  He did this without the consent of his constituents.  Shortly thereafter, all five Escambia County Commissioners (Doug Underhill, Wilson Robertson, Steven Barry, Grover C. Robinson IV, and Lumon May) chose to keep all Five-Flags Displays in Greater Pensacola, Florida censored.  They did this without the consent of their constituents–including me.  Our Five-Flags Displays remain censored–including the Five-Flags Display at the Osceola Municipal Golf Course, just down the street from my residence.

The Bayview Park Cross was not an issue, at all, before Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward, and Escambia County Commissioners Doug Underhill, Wilson Robertson, Steven Barry, Grover C. Robinson IV, and Lumon May removed the First Confederate Flag from our Five-Flags Displays, without our consent–thereby censoring our Five-Flags displays, without our consent.  Now the Bayview Park Cross is a big issue–and it will remain a big issue, unless the Mayor of Pensacola and all five Escambia County Commissioners return the First Confederate Flag to its rightful place in our Five-Flags Displays.

Do you want this historical cross to remain where it stands?

Then join me, in demanding that this historical flag be returned to its rightful place in our Five-Flags Displays–the displays of the Five Flags of Pensacola’s history, heritage, and culture.

Freedom of speech works all ways.
